Safety first

Please read these safety rules before signing the consent forms. Ask if you don’t understand!

  • Sky Reach is a high risk activity.
  • To minimise risk follow all safety rules.
  • Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death.

Keeping you safe

Please be aware Sky Reach operates in accordance with strict safety regulations and reserves the right to close the premises at any time if weather conditions prove unsafe to operate.


Before starting

  • All participants under 16 need a consent form signed by an adult (18+)
  • Minimum height is 1.5m for Sky Reach course to go on your own
  • Minimum height is 1.3m (if persons are lower than 1.5m they must be accompanied on the high ropes course)
  • Maximum weight is 120kg (18.8 stone)
  • Long hair tied back. Jewellery tucked away. Remove long and large hooped earrings.
  • Upper body to be covered to prevent rub injuries from harness. No long baggy sleeves. Shorts must cover upper leg.
  • Appropriate footwear to be worn. No open toed sandals or slip on shoes
  • No food or drink including chewing gum
  • Mobile devices or cameras must not be carried or used on the course. (Risk or drop injury to persons below, safeguarding and risk of personal injury from the device falling from a pocket or causing a distraction).

Equipment

  • Helmets to be worn at all times
  • Harnesses to be fitted by instructors.

An instructor will fit your harness and show you how to use your equipment. Once you have demonstrated that you can use this safely you will move onto the main course. (Refunds will be offered to participants who cannot continue).

If you have a problem on the course alert the instructor

  • Only one person on an element at a time
  • Maximum of three people on a platform
  • Do not try to adjust harness or safety equipment (Ask an instructor if you need to do so)
  • Keep hands away from wire (only use wood or rope)
  • Go to the loo before you start. Session takes approx. 1 hour
  • A signal will sound 10 minutes before the end of the session. Please make your way to the exit.
  • If an emergency horn sounds follow all safety instructions.
